What is Low Level Laser?

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is a safe, painless treatment that can be used for a variety of conditions. It is applied with a handheld device that shines a specific wavelength of light, and works by relieving pain and enhancing cell function. It’s great for tendinitis, arthritis and painful scar tissue. LLLT stimulates the immune system, which helps wounds heal. It can also release muscle tightness, for example in the calves – you can actually see the ankle joint move better afterwards!  If you have chronic swelling LLLT may be able to help you – have a chat to Stephen or Sara to see if you’re eligible. Several treatments are required to get the full benefit of the laser, and it can be used in conjunction with other treatments or on its own.
